This piece is not part of any show or collection or conceptual exhibition idea. It’s simply a companion piece for my piece “Queen & Park”, which is seven years its senior.

My wife thought it would be nice to have ‘Queen & Park’ hanging in our living room with a nice, similar piece next to it. So I got to painting. .

I’m quite pleased that you can actually see the improvements I’ve made in my painting techniques since 2017, and yet the two work quite well together. Both based on pictures I took on rainy nights at Chatham, Ontario intersections years apart. Time is a funny thing.

Most importantly, my wife really likes it.
