A study — a proof of concept, if you will — outlining the themes for part of my newest collection, ‘Anybody But Myself’.

In broad strokes, the major themes include feeling uncomfortable with oneself, the ways we mask ourselves around others, and what it means to really be yourself. The moments where we wish we could have been anybody but ourselves.

I was thrilled that mixing the charcoal and acrylic paint worked so well together.
