A portrait of Billie Holiday, legendary black vocalist. It’s purposely unfinished, to reflect the fact that black history, like all history, is unfinished. It is still being written. We all have our own interpretations of history; it is never complete.

A reworking is the unfinished portrait of Holiday I created for “Three Fifths”.
