The first piece of 2026, and another piece for ‘Anybody But Myself’, for those of us who always feel a little uncomfortable with confrontation.

Whether it’s by our own doing, or an external conversation we overhear, certain discussions break the peace and trigger an anxiety that is hard to put a finger on. And we look around, hoping to catch the glance of another who is feeling uncomfortable. A small comfort.

When tensions rise, we fall.
