The first in the collection. This and the next seven paintings within ‘The Quiet Part, Out Loud’ were meant to show the deep, vast isolation that can occur when we suffer through grief.

Mundane spaces become foreign. Familiar tasks become surreal. Security becomes fleeting.

You feel insignificant; you’re a million miles away from everything you thought you knew, without even leaving your living room.
