Acrylic on canvas
47” x 31”

And now for something completely different.

This is the first of three pieces of this kind that will be involved in ‘Anybody But Myself’. It will be part of the ‘Masking’ section of the show.

We often hide ourselves, code switch, put on masks to be different things to different people. And sometimes, take on the traits of those we most admire and encounter to be a different person altogether. We are a congregation of everyone we have ever experienced.

Big props to the three people who kindly offered their portraits for this work:
Matt Lovell
Michaela Lucio
Mitchell Sharpe

This could not have gone as beautifully as it did without your contributions. Thank you. I will forever be grateful.

There will be six other faces spread across two other canvases in the near future. Stay tuned.
